X blocks users from searching for the name of suspected Apalachee High School shooter Colt Gray

Elon Musk’s social media platform X on Thursday blocked search results for the name of the suspected teenage gunman in the Georgia school shooting.

Colt Gray, 14, was arrested after two students and two teachers were killed at Apalachee High School in Winder, Ga., on Wednesday.

His name was released by several outlets, including The Post, but a search for “Colt Gray” on X returned an error message Thursday.

Users were directed to a mostly blank page with the message: “Something went wrong. Try reloading.”

A pop-up at the bottom of the screen added: “Something went wrong, but don’t worry – it’s not your fault.”

The Post has sought comment from Musk and X.

Meanwhile, a search for “Colt Grey” on Threads, Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta-owned X rival, turned up few results.

Gray was interviewed by police more than a year ago as they looked into online posts threatening a school shooting, according to officials.

Authorities who interviewed Gray did not have enough evidence to make an arrest, officials said.

Classes were canceled Thursday at Apalachee High School, although some people came to pay their respects by leaving flowers around the flagpole and kneeling on the grass with their heads bowed.
